Greens show: A 50-year garden club tradition flourishes
To the Editor:
The Guilderland Garden Club would like to thank all who came out to support and enjoy its 2025 annual Open House and Greens Show held Dec. 5 to 7.
We celebrated the show’s 50th anniversary, which has been held yearly at the town’s historic Mynderse-Frederick House in Guilderland Center.
This year’s show was a huge success and it would not have been possible without the overwhelming turnout and support we received from our many guests.
The Guilderland Garden Club members appreciate the help they received to continue their mission, including food and gift-card donations to our local food pantries, support for our scholarship program, and the help we provide to other local charities.
Many thanks also go out to our co-sponsors, the Guilderland Historical Society, the Helderview Garden Club in Voorheesville, and our many local businesses including: Agway, Candy Kraft, Gade Farm, Hewitts Garden Center, Kraus’'s Candy, Peaches Cafe, Pearl Grant Richmond, Pretty Alright Breakfast Club, RAD Soap Company, Silver Parrot, Simone’s Kitchen, The Book House, and The Windowbox Cafe.
Thanks to the town of Guilderland staff, including the Department of Parks and Recreation. Appreciation is given to the wonderful student volunteers from the Guilderland High School.
Many thanks to our entertainers for their fine performances. A special thanks to all the Guilderland Garden Club members for their donations and the many, many hours volunteering to help make the house come alive for the holidays to carry on this tradition through the years.
We hope to see you all again next year!
