Teddy Bear Tea: A wonderful time
To the Editor:
On Dec. 15, the New Salem Volunteer Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary hosted its 12th Annual Teddy Bear Tea with Mrs. Claus and special guests Santa Claus and one of his elves this year. Tea sandwiches, snowman sundaes, tea, and hot chocolate all prepared by the auxiliary were enjoyed with the 32 children and 36 adults in attendance.
Mrs. Claus read to the children and sang songs together with them. Santa met with each and every child to hear their Christmas wishes. A wonderful time was had by all.
Thank you for the support of all the parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends who stayed to enjoy the tea with us.
Thank you to Mrs. Claus, Santa, and the members of both the auxiliary and the fire department who helped make our Teddy Bear Tea such a wonderful community event. We also would like to thank the many volunteers and elves who gave of their time to assist us.
In appreciation, the New Salem Auxiliary would like to thank both the Voorheesville and Guilderland Hannaford Supermarkets, Falvo’s Meat Market in Voorheesville, ShopRite of Slingerlands, and Meadow Brook Farms Dairy in Voorheesville for their generous donations of food items, gift cards, and milk for our event.
