Public Notice of Hearing

The Town of New Scotland

Zoning Board Notice is hereby given that the Zoning Board of Town of New Scotland, New York will hold a public hearing pursuant to Chapter 190, Article IX, Section 190-73 of the Zoning Law on the following proposition:

A Public Hearing for Variance Application # 528

Variance Application # 528: Application Submitted by Brian Petrocine requesting relief from Section 190-29 (D) of the Town of New Scotland’s Zoning Law to allow for a power generation windmill to be constructed on a parcel. The parcel is located within the “RF” district at 875 Clarksville South Rd. The parcel is owned by the applicant, is identified as New Scotland Tax parcel id # 117.-2-9. The town requires accessory structures to have a maximum height of 35’ on a lot that is more than 3 acres and setbacks of at least 50’. This request is for 65 feet of relief to allow for structure to be no more than 100’ in height.

Variance Application # 529: Application Submitted by Zane Bathrick requesting relief from Section 190-12 (B) of the Town of New Scotland’s Zoning Law to allow for an addition to the dwelling to be constructed on a parcel. The town requires a front setback of 40’ from front property line.  This request is for 15 feet of relief to allow for the addition on the side of the house to be constructed within 25’ of the front property line.
