ESPERANCE — Carolyn R. Roberts, a mother who worked as a secretary and who liked to knit, died peacefully at Evergreen Commons on Friday, Dec. 9, 2016. She was 87.

Mrs. Roberts was a former secretary for Dick Ferraioli Water Wells and, prior to that, for Beresford Farms. She was an active member in a knitting club that met at the Delanson Library, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Boyd Hilton Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela S. Erondy, and her husband, Nick; her son, Paul S. Roberts Jr., and his wife, Kelly; and her granddaughter, Kelsey L. Roberts.

Her husband, Paul S. Roberts, died on Nov. 23, 2005.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 15, at 10:30 a.m. at the Gerald B. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at 200 Duell Rd. in Schuylerville, New York, interred alongside her husband. A memorial service will be held at the Esperance/Sloansville Methodist Church at 175 Main Street in Esperance on Thursday, Dec. 15, at 6 p.m.
