Celebrate the season at ACT’s WinterFest

To the Editor:

Ho! Ho! Ho! As unbelievable as it sounds, the holidays are upon us once again.

Hope everyone had a terrific Thanksgiving. Are we all ready for Altamont Community Tradition’s annual WinterFest on Sunday, Dec. 14, from noon to 5 p.m.?

Once again, we’ll be starting off at noon at Orsini Park with the fan favorite Pet Pawrade. Rain or shine, all animals are welcome to join in for photos and prizes.

There will also be horse-and-carriage rides at Orsini Park and events at many village businesses — Main Street Café, Lindsey Giagni State Farm Agency, Remedies Wine & Spirits, and ReNue Spa.

Check out the library and churches for other activities, including a living Nativity at Altamont Reformed church.

Santa will be at the Masonic Hall for kids and the young-at-heart. There will also be wreaths, Christmas trees, and the popular Made in Altamont raffle.

Festivities will end with an organ concert of holiday music and a sing-along from 4 to 5 p.m. at St. John’s.

You can find details on the Altamont Community Tradition Facebook page. There will also be flyers and sandwich boards set up around the village.

We’re going to have fun! Be sure to join us.
