St. John's church in Altamont presents Tidings of Comfort

ALTAMONT — For those who are grieving, or struggling, or just looking for a place of calm in the midst of the busyness of Christmas, St. John’s Lutheran Church in Altamont is offering a quiet, late-night Christmas Eve worship opportunity.

Called “Tidings of Comfort,” it is a simple service that will include Holy Communion, a reading of the Christmas story from Luke, prayer, and an opportunity to light a candle as a sign of hope or in remembrance of a loved one.

The service will begin at 11:15 p.m. with some beautiful meditative music.
