I am deeply grateful for your willingness to help others
To the Editor:
I want to extend a sincere thank-you to all of the village residents and friends who came out to support the Altamont Community Food Pantry during our recent donation drive. During our third drop-off Monday afternoon, the food pantry staff expressed how grateful they are for the numerous donations they have received throughout this season of giving.
Specifically, I want to thank Altamont Country Values, Stewart’s, the Altamont Free Library, the Altamont Post Office, and the staff at Village Hall for hosting a collection area for donations during our drive.
A special shout-out to the Altamont Elementary School Principal Steve Wolf, PTA President Katie Barker, elementary staff, students, and all their families who organized and collected multiple carloads of donations. The extra effort is truly appreciated!
If you are interested in donating and did not have the opportunity to support the food pantry during our drive or recent community events, donations by check may be made out to the Altamont Community Food Pantry and can be mailed to Post Office Box 678, Altamont, NY 12009 or dropped off at the pantry on the first or third Mondays each month.
Thank you once again to all who stepped forward to support this effort. Your generosity is truly inspiring and reflects the strength and spirit of our community. I am deeply grateful for your commitment to making a difference and willingness to help others.
