Learn about jewelry, see slides of Africa

To the Editor:

The New York Capital District Christian Women’s Connection is sponsoring a “Let’s Have a Bake Sale” fundraiser luncheon on Wednesday, Dec. 11, at the Guilderland Elks Lodge at 3867 Route 146 (Carman Road) beginning at 11:30 a.m. and ending at approximately 1:30 p.m. Please feel free to bring baked goods for the sale.

Our special feature this month is Kelly Hartley, a jewelry consultant from Hartley’s Paparazzi.  Paparazzi’s jewelry is always fabulous, always fashionable, and always $5. Our special speaker will be Larry Johnson who will be showing slides from his recent trip to Africa, and our special music will be provided by Joe Kriss who will entertain us by singing Frank Sinatra tunes.

Reservations are necessary, no later than Dec. 6, and cancellations are a must if you reserved a place. Please call Nancy at 518-869-0642 or Carol at 518-869-5253 to reserve. On the menu this month is a Virginia ham dinner with an alternative choice of grilled chicken salad. The cost is $16 inclusive (cash only please).

All are welcome — bring a friend or your significant other. They’ll be glad you did! Nursery care is provided for free at the restaurant by reservation only for infant through kindergarteners — bring a bag lunch for your child.
