Join us for a service of hope

To the Editor:

Images of the winter holidays are filled with happy families, bountiful tables, and beautiful gifts. Reality can be much different. Families may fight, memories can be painful, and the whole season may be sorrowful.

Jesus was born to bring comfort, hope, and salvation to this broken world. Blue Christmas worship sets a quiet tone that recognizes some of us struggle to experience the joy of the season.

The public is welcome at an ecumenical Blue Christmas worship service held at Helderberg Lutheran Church, on Sunday, Dec. 22 at 3 p.m. Come and find hope and refuge from the stress of the season.
