We look forward to sharing the joy of the season with all

To the Editor:

The Helderberg Family and Community Organization is honored to bring the third annual Hope and Peace Community Festival of Trees to the residents of the Hilltowns and surrounding communities.

All are invited to join us at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4, for the Tree-Lighting Ceremony behind the Knox firehouse at 2198 Berne-Altamont Rd. Beginning with community caroling, our ceremony will include the lighting of 40 beautifully decorated trees and a holiday treat for all.

The trees will be lit each evening through Jan. 8 for all to enjoy.

And on Sunday, Dec. 5, join the Helderberg Family and Community Organization and the Girl Scouts Service Unit 194 for Breakfast with Santa at the Berne firehouse at 30 Canaday Hill Rd. in Berne.

From 8 a.m. to noon, come enjoy pancakes, sausage, bacon, and eggs. (Children under 2 eat for free, children 2 to 12 are charged $5, adults 12 and up are charged $7, and senior citizens are charged $6.) Kids will also enjoy a special treat from Santa!

We look forward to sharing the joy of the season with all of you.
