Blue Christmas: A Service of Reflection

ALTAMONT — The holiday season isn’t merry for everyone. Celebrating Christmas can be difficult for those who are coping with traumatic events such as the death of someone they loved, divorce or separation, the loss of a job, or chronic health problems.

This year, Altamont Reformed Church is hosting a “Blue Christmas” Service on Sunday, Dec. 18, at 4 p.m. in the church Fellowship Hall. Led by the church’s transition minister, Roger Krutz, the service is described by organizers as “an informal, quiet time of reflection and hope as we remember that Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted.”

The church is located at 129 Lincoln Ave. in Altamont. Please use the back door next to the church parking lot or the handicap-access door on the south side of the building. If you have questions, please call the church office at (518) 861-8711 or email altamontreformed@yahoo.com.
