To the Editor:
I am writing to alert Guilderland residents to vacancies on town boards.

Urgent: Deadline is 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 3, 2021.

The town of Guilderland is presently accepting applications for positions on the Guilderland Conservation Advisory Council, the Planning Board, and the Traffic Safety Committee.

These three boards are vital to the future of the town and the character of our community, balancing environmental needs to necessary and responsible growth, while factoring in the impact such growth has on the infrastructure of the town.

If these issues are important to you, I encourage you to please send a résumé and cover letter via email to immediately (or drop it off in person to the supervisor’s office on the second floor of the town hall — please wear a mask if you do so in person). The more who apply, the better the chances of getting qualified residents in these positions.

Don’t just sit on the sidelines; get involved in your town and help us chart our path forward together. Now is the time. You can make a difference.
