Guard promotes

These members of the New York Army National Guard have recently been promoted:

— Frank Quintana from Slingerlands, assigned to the Joint Force Headquarters, received a promotion to the rank of lieutenant colonel;

— Elizabeth Porter from Altamont, assigned to the Company B, Recruiting and Retention, received a promotion to the rank of staff sergeant.; and

— Michael Costello from Guilderland, assigned to the Intelligence and Sustainment Company, 42nd Infantry Division, received a promotion to the rank of major.

Army National Guard promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability, and development potential.
