Shared office available: The Guilderland Chamber of Commerce has two offices and four desks to rent to small businesses or home-based business owners looking for temporary or long-term space. There are daily rates and long-term leases and the spaces come with access to a printer, fax machine, scanner, and wireless Internet.

GUILDERLAND — The Guilderland Chamber of Commerce is offering shared workspaces for local businesses looking for a home or individuals looking for a temporary office.

Erica Gauthier, president of the chamber, said, in a press release, that research showed local small businesses want infrastructure, but did not want to commit to an entire office, and owners of home-based businesses want the opportunity to connect and meet with people.

The shared workspace is part of what Gauthier calls the GuilderLocal initiative, focusing on businesses needs and wants.

The workspace will feature free wireless Internet; a business address; use of a fax machine, scanner, and printer; a meeting room; free, easy parking; and a desk. There are four desks available in two offices.

Each of the offices may be rented in its entirety, or desks may be rented individually. They may be rented for a day, a week, or long-term.

Long-term leases require a background credit check and a signed lease.

Pricing for a monthly space starts at $175 and daily passes cost $25.

The chamber offices are located in the Star Plaza at 2050 Western Ave., upstairs.

Anyone interested in renting a space can call 456-6611.
