Greens show celebrates the Christmas tree

GUILDERLAND CENTER — The 2016 Open House and Greens Show at the Mynderse-Frederick House will be held this year on Dec. 2 from 4 to 8 p.m., and Dec. 3 and 4 from 1 to 5 p.m.

The historic home is at 451 Main St. in Guilderland Center.

The event is co-sponsored by the Guilderland Garden Club and the Guilderland Historical Society. This year’s theme is “O Christmas Tree!”

The public is invited to this free community event to see the house decorated with ornaments, wreaths, and arrangements made by members of the Garden Club; and to enjoy the homemade refreshments and entertainment.

Members of the historical society will also be present to provide information on the history of the house.  Nonperishable donations will be collected for the Regional Food Bank.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of items made by the garden club will be donated to the Thacher Park Center-Capital Campaign. For more information, go online to www.guilderlandgardenclub.com.
