Shop for crafts to help Scholars

To the Editor:

Get ready to start on that holiday shopping list! Voorheesville Dollars for Scholars is excited to be hosting our first Vendor Craft Fair fundraiser.  The event will be held on Sunday, Nov. 24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Voorheesville’s Clayton A. Bouton High School at 432 New Salem Road.

There will be concessions and a bake sale. Doors open promptly at 10 a.m. We have over 45 vendors on hand to help with those holiday gifts. The first 20 guests through the door will receive a free raffle ticket to put in many great raffle items. Proceeds will go to benefit the Class of 2020.

Voorheesville Dollars for Scholars is a not-for-profit foundation that supports academic success in our community. As part of Scholarship America’s national network of locally based, volunteer-driven Dollars for Scholars chapters, our mission is to mobilize our community on behalf of postsecondary education success for our students.

Dollars for Scholars chapters like ours help hometown students achieve their educational goals by raising scholarship funds, establishing endowments, providing assistance with college readiness, the financial aid process, and distributing scholarships each year.

We look forward to seeing you there!
