To the Editor:

Due to a failure to observe a speed limit sign, we made a recent appearance in the Altamont Traffic Court.  Generally such an appearance is as much fun as a root canal.

However, the entire procedure was conducted in a respectful manner.

We especially want to commend the professionalism and courtesy of Altamont Police Officer Jill Kaufman.
