ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS    
BERNE FIRE DISTRICT
EAST BERNE FIRE STATION
Sealed Bids for the construction of the New East Berne Fire Station, Contracts 1, 2, 3, and 4, will be received by the Berne Fire District at the East Berne Fire Station, 25 Main Street, East Berne, New York 12059, until 2:00 PM local time on Wednesday, January 11th, 2023, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.  Project consists of:
Contract No. 1 – General Construction:  Includes all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary to furnish and install all of the site work and structure associated with the new fire station which includes but is not limited to the following: subgrade preparation, excavation, and backfilling, oil/water separator, septic system, septic tank, holding tanks, concrete footings, interior slab on grade, exterior slabs on grade, trench drains, and drain piping, building structure, framing, siding, roofing, insulation systems, liner panel, flashings, trim, gutters, windows, overhead doors with operators, entry doors, interior partition framing, joists, sheeting, gypsum board, doors, windows, frames, hardware, trim, wall finishing and painting.
Contract No. 2 – Electrical: Includes all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary to furnish and install electric, telephone, and cable service to building from street, all motor controls and wiring, all power, phone and cable, distribution systems, lighting systems (indoors and outdoors), emergency generator power system with automatic transfer switch, HVAC power wiring and all necessary fittings and appurtenances for complete installation.
Contract No. 3 – HVAC: Includes all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary to furnish and install a complete HVAC system, thermostats, controls, pumps, fans, louvers, dampers, water heater tanks, propane boiler, gas piping, radiant heating, including all necessary duct work, fittings, and appurtenances for complete installation. 
Contract No. 4 – Plumbing: Includes all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary to furnish and install domestic hot-water and cold-water system, sanitary sewer, and drainage system, including bathroom furnishings, piping and all necessary fittings and appurtenances for complete installation.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Lamont Engineers, P.C., 197 Elm Street, Cobleskill, NY 12043, (518) 234-4028, contact person: Milan H. Jackson, P.E., . Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Bidding Documents may also be examined at the East Berne Fire Station, 25 Main Street, East Berne, New York 12059, by appointment. Hardcopy and digital copies of the bidding documents are available from the issuing office.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 PM local time on December 15, 2022, at the East Berne Fire Station, 25 Main Street, East Berne, NY 12059. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory.

ANNUAL ELECTION OF THE FORT HUNTER FIRE DISTRICT 
December 13, 2022 
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual Election of the Fort Hunter Fire District will take place on December 13, 2022, between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the Fort Hunter Fire House located at 3525 Carman Road, Schenectady, N.Y. 12303 for the purpose of electing one Commissioner for a five (5) year term, commencing January 1, 2023, and ending December 31, 2027 and approving a resolutien authorizing the issuance of Serial Bonds amounting to $1,500,000.00 for the reconstruction of the Fire House. Voters registered with the Albany County Board of Elections on or before November 21st, 2022, shall be eligible to vote. 
Candidates for District Office shall have filed their names with the Secretary of the Fort Hunter Fire District, at the firehouse at 3525 Carman Road, Schenectady, N.Y. 12303, no later than twenty days before the election, by November 23th, 2022

Candidate petitions are required and can be obtained from  the Secretary of the Berne Fire District. All voters registered with the Albany County  Board of Elections on or before November 21, 2022, shall be eligible to vote. 
Absentee ballot applications may be obtained from the Secretary of the Berne Fire  District. Please call Manuel Mosbey at 518-872-0847 to obtain an application for an  absentee ballot. If the absentee ballot application is to be mailed, applications  requests are due to the Secretary on or before November 23, 2022. Applications for  absentee ballots to be delivered personally are due to the Secretary on or before  December 12, 2022
