Moved by Berne’s expression of confidence

To the Editor:

We would like to extend our deepest thanks to all of the residents of our town who took the time and effort to participate in this important election. We are deeply moved by the expression of confidence from you, our community.

We are immensely grateful to the family, friends, and loyal supporters who so generously contributed their time and effort to our campaign during this very long election season.

Out, door to door, we have had the opportunity to hear your ideas, your concerns, and your aspirations for our town, and we sincerely appreciate your willingness to discuss what really matters to you.

You have entrusted us with the responsibility of speaking on your behalf as your representatives. Being effective representatives involves listening to you, our constituents, and translating your concerns into workable proposals, and, working as a team, building consensus to implement them.

We cannot do this job without the involvement and openness of all the people we represent and we look forward to your continued ideas and feedback to do it as it should be done for our town.

Thank you.
