To the Editor:
I work for a local company that participated in this past week’s Get Hired Job Fair at Crossgates and would like to recognize the mall for utilizing its space to do so. With so many companies in need of employees, and so many people looking for employment, whether it be a part-time job, a seasonal job or a career, there was an open position there for everyone.

As a resident within the town, I am an avid shopper at Crossgates and have attended numerous events that have been hosted there. The job fair, catering to businesses from outside the mall in addition to businesses within the mall, gave a unique mix of organic traffic to job seekers and those seeking employees.

It was great to have it open to everyone, including people who may not have known it was taking place and instead just happened to pass by. Not only did the people passing through get to see that our business was hiring but, due to various local media outlets being on site to cover this positive event, our business’s need for employees was seen as well.

Thank you to Crossgates and its partner, the Guilderland Chamber of Commerce, for recognizing this need and hosting such a great event in the town.
