PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Annual Election of the Knox Fire District will take place on December 13, 2022 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the Knox Firehouse Station #1 located at 2198 Route 156, Knox, New York for the purpose of voting on a Fire District Commissioner for a term of five years beginning January 1, 2023 and ending December 31, 2027. All candidates for this office shall file their names with the Secretary of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Knox Fire District, David Poole, no later than November 25, 2022 and such nominations shall be submitted in writing. Submissions should be sent to: David Poole, Secretary, Knox Board of Fire Commissioners, PO Box 3, Knox NY 12107 or delivered in person to Mr. Poole during any scheduled Monday night drill (commencing at 7 PM) at the Knox Firehouse Station #1. Those who are eligible to vote in this election are qualified voters and have resided in the Fire District for thirty (30) days next preceding this election.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED REMOTE ACCESS POLICY OF THE TOWN OF GUILDERLAND INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AGENCY
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing (the “Public Hearing”) pursuant to Section 103-a(2)(a) of the Public Officers Law of the State of New York (the “Videoconferencing Law”) will be held by the Town of Guilderland Industrial Development Agency (the “Agency”) on the 22nd day of November, 2022 at 7:00 o’clock p.m., local time, at the Town Board Chambers in the Town Hall of the Town of Guilderland located at 5209 Western Turnpike in the Town of Guilderland, Albany County, New York in connection with the following matters:
On April 9, 2022, the New York State legislature passed the New York State 2022-2023 Budget Bill which contained provisions (1) amending Section 103 of the Public Officer’s Law of the State of New York (the “Open Meetings Law”); and (2) adding the Videoconferencing Law to the Open Meetings Law. Pursuant to Section 103-a(2) of the Videoconferencing Law, the Agency, as a “public body” under and as defined in the Videoconferencing Law, may, in its discretion, conduct Remote Access Meetings (as defined herein), provided that the Agency must first (A) conduct a public hearing regarding the proposed authorization of Remote Access Meetings; (B) adopt a resolution authorizing the Agency and each of its committees and subcommittees to conduct Remote Access Meetings (the “Remote Access Resolution”); and (C) establish written procedures governing Remote Access Meetings (such written procedures of the Agency being referred to hereinafter as the “Remote Access Policy”). Copies of the Remote Access Policy shall be available to the public at the location of the Public Hearing. Additionally, copies of the Remote Access Policy can be obtained from the Agency prior to the Public Hearing as further described below.
The Agency is considering whether (A) to authorize Remote Access Meetings and (B) to adopt the Remote Access Policy. A “Remote Access Meeting” shall mean any meeting of the Agency where a member of the Agency participates in such meeting using videoconferencing from a location that is not open to the public.
If the Agency, subsequent to holding the Public Hearing, determines to authorize Remote Access Meetings and adopt the Remote Access Policy, the Agency may thereafter, in its discretion, conduct a Remote Access Meeting. All Remote Access Meetings so conducted by the Agency shall comply with the Videoconferencing Law and the Remote Access Policy, respectively.
The Agency will at said time and place hear all persons with views on the Remote Access Policy being contemplated by the Agency in connection with the authorization contained in the Videoconferencing Law. A transcript or summary report of the hearing will be made available to the members of the Agency.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for the furnishing of all labor and material necessary for the Village of Altamont -Contract No. 1 - Fairview Ave Sidewalk project will be received to Village Clerk, P.O. Box 643, Altamont, New York 12009, or delivered to the Village of Altamont, Village Clerk, Village Hall, 115 Main Street, Altamont, New York 12009 until Wednesday, November 30, 2022 local time 2:00 P.M. at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Bids will be received for the following Contract:
Contract No. 01 – General Construction: The project includes the installation of approximately 670 L.F. of concrete sidewalk and related work along Fairview Avenue in the Village of Altamont.
Bidding Documents may be viewed and ordered online by registering with the Issuing Office at www.bartonandloguidiceplanroom.com. Following registration, complete sets of Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the Issuing Office’s website as “zipped” portable document format (PDF) files for a nonrefundable fee of $49. The date that the Bidding Documents are downloaded will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of the Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percentum (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof.
This is an exempt capital improvement project, and Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials which are to be incorporated into the work and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to the Village of Altamont prior to incorporation into the work of the Contract.
The attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract.
The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the Bid and to reject any or all bids.
