Powers, Guilford marry

Carolyn Powers and Samuel Guilford

GUILDERLAND — With great pleasure, Kathleen and Dan Powers of Guilderland and Susan and Charles Guilford of Surry, Maine announce the marriage of their children, Carolyn Powers and Samuel Guilford. The couple were married at the bride’s family home in an intimate backyard ceremony on Oct. 25, 2020.

Those in attendance, in addition to their parents, were Carolyn’s maternal grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Anthony Mastrianni, siblings Anthony Powers and his partner Cady Cordes, Colleen Powers, Alice Guilford and Travis Templeton, and life-long friends Amanda Bailly, Dana Luther Grady, and Andrew Gagne and Sarah Kearsley, who also performed photographer duties.

The officiant was Carolyn's aunt, Christine Mastrianni Fay with her partner Dino Perrucci, and the ring bearer was Olive, their beloved dog. We look forward to continuing the celebration of marriage at a Post Pandemic Partnership Party with family and friends that will be scheduled at a future date.

Carolyn and Sam met in 2008 while studying abroad in Mendoza, Argentina. Carolyn is a graduate of Guilderland High School and Stonehill College. She is the head of U.S. Programs for Internews. Sam is a graduate of Bates College and George Washington University, and is a GIS Cartographer for the National Geographic Society. The couple resides in Washington, D.C. Join us in sending peaceful and loving blessings their way.
