ANNUAL ELECTION OF
    MCKOWNVILLE FIRE DISTRICT
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Annual Election of the McKownville Fire District will be held at the McKownville Fire House, 1250 Western Avenue, (County of Albany), New York on the 14th day of December 2021 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m for the purpose of electing one Fire Commissioner for a term of five (5) years ending December 31, 2026.  Candidates for District Office shall file their names with the Secretary of the Fire District no later than November 24, 2021.  
All residents of the McKownville Fire District who are duly registered to vote with the Albany County Board of Elections on or before November 22, 2021 shall be entitled to vote at this election.

LEGAL NOTICE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Planning Board of the Town of Rensselaerville will hold a Public Hearing on November 18, 2021 at 7:00 pm at Town Hall, 87 Barger Road, Medusa, NY on a proposed Minor Subdivision for Lucien Cance, 243 Siebert Rd., Medusa, NY (Tax Map 182.-2-18 and 182.-2-20). The applicant is proposing to subdivide a 113.69 acre lot into one 61.5 acre lot and one 52.19 acre lot.
All those interested in this proposal will be provided with the full opportunity to be heard on the date of the Public Hearing.  Persons wishing to appear at such hearing may do so in person or by attorney or other representative.  Documents in support of this proposal are available for inspection at the Rensselaerville Town Hall.
Communications in writing in relation thereto may be filed with the Planning Board or at such hearing.

LEGAL NOTICE
INVITATION TO BID
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received until 1:00 P.M., December 7th 2021, at the Altamont Village Community Room, 115 Main Street, Altamont, NY 12009 at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the Fire Department Building Repairs Project. 
A pre-bid conference will be held for this project on Tuesday, November 23rd, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Fire Department, 115 Main Street, Altamont, NY 12009. Bidding contractors are strongly encouraged to have an authorized representative of their firm attend the pre-bid conference. 
Work is generally described as follows: 
General Construction: All work associated with the construction of numerous repairs to the existing building structure including the demolition of an interior concrete slab-on-grade, demolition of the exterior asphalt apron, repairs to the brick façade, and replacement of the demoed apron and interior slab-on-grade, and all other work noted in the contract documentation. 
Project Construction must be completed by July 29th, 2022. 
Contract Documents, including Advertisement For Bids, Information For Bidders, Labor and Employment, Additional Instructions, Bid Documents, Agreement, General Conditions, General Requirements, Specifications, Contract Drawings and any Addenda, may be examined at no expense on-line at the following website: www.debiddocuments.com, or at the office of Delaware Engineering, D.P.C., 28 Madison Ave Extension Albany NY, 12203. 
Digital copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained online as a download for a non-refundable fee of FortyNine Dollars ($49.00) from the website: www.debiddocuments.com. Any Bidder requiring documents to be shipped shall make arrangements with REV and pay for all packaging and shipping costs. 
Any Bidder who submitted completed Bid Forms to the Village of Altamont, upon returning such set in good condition within thirty days following the award of the contract or rejection of the bids, will be refunded his full payment.
Deposits will not be refunded to any non-bidder (including material suppliers, subcontractors, or those that provide quotes to Bidders).

Please note that www.debiddocuments.com is the designated location and means for distributing and obtaining all bid package information. All Bidders are urged to register to ensure receipt of all necessary information including bid addenda. All bid addenda will be transmitted to registered plan holders via email and will be available at www.debiddocuments.com. Plan holders who have paid for hard copies of the bid documents will need to make the determination if hard copies of the addenda are required for their use, and coordinate directly with REV for hard copies of addenda to be issued. There will be no charge for registered plan holders to obtain hard copies of the bid addenda. 
Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders.
No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof. 
This is an exempt capital improvement project, and Bidders shall not include taxes in the cost of materials which are to be incorporated into the work, and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to the Village of Altamont prior to incorporation into the work of the Contract. 
Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) days from the date of the opening of Bid for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the bidder(s) and the subsequent approval of the bids and related documents by the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or waive any informalities in the bidding, without explanation, and to select the Bid, the acceptance of which, in its judgement, will best assure the efficient performance of the work. 
The contractors must also be aware that they must comply with the most recent State wage rates under New York State Department of Labor (www.labor.state.ny.us). In addition, the contractor must comply, if applicable, with Labor Law 220, section 220-h, which requires that on all public work projects of at least $250,000.00, all laborers, workers and mechanics on the site be certified as having successfully completed the OSHA 10-hour construction safety and health course.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Annual Election of the Knox Fire District will take place on December 14, 2021 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the Knox Firehouse Station #1 located at 2198 Route 156, Knox, New York for the purpose of voting on a Fire District Commissioner for a term of five years beginning January 1, 2022 and ending December 31, 2026.   All candidates for this office shall file their names with the Secretary of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Knox Fire District, Frank A. LEGAL NOTICE
RESOLUTION TO EXPAND FUNDS FROM A CAPITAL RESERVE FUND FOR PROPERTY ACQUISITION 
WHEREAS, pursuant to General Municipal Law, Section 6-g., the Knox Fire District, Town of Knox, County of Albany, State of New York did establish the “R23D.4 Building Capital Special Reserve”, a capital reserve fund to finance the acquisition and improvement of real property for the storage of fire fighting apparatus and equipment and for the social and recreational use of the firefighters and residents of the fire district and for any of the purposes authorized by law; and 
WHEREAS, the Board of Fire Commissioners has agreed to enter into a contract with the membership of the Knox Volunteer Fire Company to acquire real property and any buildings thereon located currently owned by the Knox Volunteer Fire Company for an agreed upon purchase price of Sixteen Thousand ($16,000.00) Dollars; and 
WHEREAS, there are currently funds in the aforementioned Capital Reserve Fund in excess of Sixteen Thousand ($16,000.00) Dollars; and 
WHEREAS, there will be incidental legal and document recording cost to be incurred in the acquisition of the real property in an amount not to exceed Three Thousand ($3,000.00); and 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Knox Fire District is hereby authorized to expand from its “R23D.4 Building Capital Special Reserve” Fund an amount not to exceed Nineteen Thousand ($19,000.00) Dollars for the acquisition of real property from the Knox Volunteer Fire Company; and it is further resolved that this resolution and this expenditure is subject to a permissive referendum.
