Free clothing store opens. ‘Adopt’ a child for Christmas

To the Editor:

It’s that time of year again at the Hilltowns Community Resource Center, we’re getting ready for the holiday season. We just wanted to share some of the projects we are working on.

On Saturday, Nov. 25, we are opening our free clothing store located in the Modern Woodman Hall on Route 1 in Westerlo. It’s open to the public; we just ask you to bring your own bags or boxes. We will also have the store open Monday, Nov. 27 through Thursday, Nov. 29, store hours will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are lots of nice things to choose from.

We are once again running our Adopt-a-Child program for Christmas. If anyone is interested in adopting a less fortunate child for Christmas or purchasing a toy for our program, please feel free to call us at (518) 797-5256. We also accept monetary donations. Checks may be made to HCRC and mailed to Post Office Box 147, Westerlo, NY 12193.

We wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season. Thanks for all the support you give us throughout the year. We couldn’t do it without your help.
