ALTAMONT — St. Lucy’s/St. Bernadette’s Church in Altamont is sponsoring two spring trips, both leaving from Albany.

The "Best of Spain" travelers will leave on March 30, escorted by Jean Gagnon of the Plaza Travel Center, and return April 10, 2017. Space is limited to 40 participants.

The church is also sponsoring a bus trip to Philadelphia, from April 28 to 30, 2017.  

The trip to Spain will include stops in Madrid, Seville, Granada, and Barcelona. The early booking rate of $3,679 per person, double occupancy, is available for those who register for the tour by Dec. 15.

An information meeting will be held at the parish center on Grand Street in Altamont on Thursday, Nov. 17, at 6 p.m. Those who plan to attend should email Gagnon at or call her at Plaza Travel Center at (518) 785-3338.

Prices for the Philadelphia trip start at $395 per person, double occupancy, and include the transportation from Albany, two nights at the Marriott Philadelphia Downtown Hotel, hotel taxes, baggage handling, and a two-hour stop on the return in New Hope, Pennsylvania.

Although sponsored by the church, these tours are not pilgrimages or religious events.  All are welcome to participate.
