Mark O’Herin

VOORHEESVILLE — “It is with great sadness that we announce that Mark O’Herin passed away suddenly at his home in Voorheesville on Friday, Oct. 17, at the age of 70.

“Formerly of Hawes Road in Altamont,” his family wrote in a tribute, “Mark had a knack for cooking, baking (cheesecake extraordinaire) and hanging out and helping his many friends in their time of need.

“He is survived by his four siblings and 11 nieces and nephews. No official services will be held at this time; however, there will be an informal Irish Wake at the Hedge Bistro ….  Rest in peace, brother, you will be missed!”

The wake will run from 12:30 to 5 p.m. on Nov. 16 at the bistro, which is located at the Western Turnpike Golf Course at 2350 Western Ave., Guilderland, 12084.

The family’s celebration of life will take place in the spring.
