CDTA provides free rides to SUNY Poly

GUILDERLAND — The state’s University of New York Polytechnic Institute has partnered with the Capital District Transportation Authority to provide free bus rides to students, faculty, and staff.

The free services, as part of the Universal Access program, address the demand for access to the Colleges of Nanoscale Science and Engineering complex while reducing the impact on traffic patterns in and around its facilities off of Fuller Road.

The program includes CDTA’s regular routes services, STAR paratransit service, and the Northway Xpress Commuter service.

CDTA will provide bus service to SUNY Poly CNSE through new Fuller Road bus stops, constructed this past summer. Four existing routes were expanded to serve the new stops.

Qualifying riders need to present a valid identification upon boarding.
