New sidewalk will link us to library and the heart of the village

To the Editor:

Thanks to the hard work of Voorheesville Public Works Superintendent Brett Hotaling and his crew, we now have a beautiful new sidewalk that runs past our home on School Road.

It will, according to plan, eventually extend to the Voorheesville Public Library, truly one of our village’s treasures. We now have a safe pathway that will link us to not only our library, but to the heart of our wonderful town.

Excessive speed has long been a problem on School Road with the posted speed of 30 miles-per-hour being regularly ignored. With an expected increase in walkers along the School Road corridor, it becomes even more important now for drivers to obey the posted 30 mph limit.

Nice work, Mr. Hotaling!
