June Kinisky

June Kinisky

June (née Catalfu) Kinisky, who worked as a nurse and loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, died on Friday, Oct. 26, 2018, surrounded by her children. She was 83.

She was born Feb. 21, 1935 in Boston (Erie County) to Homer and Laura Klein. While raising her children in Voorheesville, Mrs. Kinisky enjoyed sewing, gardening, playing the organ, and attending their school events.

She retired from nursing in 2005 after a career of more than 45 years. In her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Dot (Bill) Grimaldi, Bill, Laurie, Don (Kathy), Julie (Jeff) Varney, Steve, Bruce (Tina).

Calling hours were held at Meyer Funeral Home in Delmar on Monday.

The family thanks the staff at Atria Delmar “for their wonderful care and love.”
