NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PRELIMINARY BUDGET
Notice is hereby given that the Preliminary Budget of the Town of Berne, Albany County, New York, for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2026, has been completed and filed in the Office of the Town Clerk at 1656 Helderberg Trail Berne NY 12023 where it is available for inspection by any interested person during regular office hours.
Further notice is hereby given that the Town Board of the Town of Berne will hold a public hearing on said Preliminary Budget at 1360 Helderberg Trail Berne NY on November 12th at 6:00PM at which time and place any person may be heard in favor of or against any item or items therein contained.
Pursuant to Town Law §108(5), the following are the proposed yearly salaries of elected Town Officers for the 2026 fiscal year:
Supervisor – $25,000.00
Town Board Members (4) – $3971.75
Town Clerk – $52,498.00
Highway Superintendent -$67,465.00
Town Justices (2) – $10,589.00
Tax Collector - $7,504.00

Heldervale Water and Sewer Districts

The Town Board of New Scotland will hold a public hearing on November 12, 2025 at 6:25 p.m. to
consider a proposed extension of the Heldervale Water and Sewer Districts to include property in the
proposed four (4) lot subdivision known as the Tate Subdivision.  The property is located on Miller Road,
near New Scotland South Road.  Maps and descriptions of the proposed district extensions are available
on the Town website, and are posted in the Town Clerk’s office.
