I appreciate the supervisor’s candor

To the Editor:

I have been an employee of the town of Knox for a little over a year. Working with the current administration and Supervisor [Vasilios] Lefkaditis has been a pleasure.

The man makes himself available to me and other town employees whenever we need him. If we have personal matters and require his help, he’s there.

If we have town-related concerns that require his attention, he’s there. He leads by example. He is not afraid to jump into a ditch or a piece of heavy equipment to get a job done.

He does whatever is necessary to provide opportunities for the kids and residents in our town. When the subject of a meaningful raise came up, he agreed and he not only brought it to the town board for approval, he came up with a way to pay for it by renegotiating our health insurance.

What I like most about the man is he says what’s on his mind and most people can’t handle it. I, for one, I appreciate the candor.

On Nov. 5, I will be voting for Vas Lefkaditis, Dennis Cyr, June Springer, Traci Schanz, Bonnie Donati, and Betty Walk.  I'm asking that the rest of you join me in doing the same.
