The following is a summary of said bond resolution:
1. The title of the resolution is: BOND RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF
FIRE COMMISSIONERS OF THE MCKOWNVILLE FIRE DISTRICT,
TOWN OF GUILDERLAND, ALBANY COUNTY, NEW YORK,
ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 7, 2016 AUTHORIZING THE RENOVATION AND REHABILITATION OF THE EXISTING FIRE STATION LOCATED AT 1250 WESTERN AVENUE, TOWN OF GUILDERLAND, NEW YORK FOR THE PURPOSES OF EXTENDING THE SERVICE TIME FOR SUCH STATION AS WELL AS ITS SUITABILITY FOR CONTINUED USE, STATING THE ESTIMATED MAXIMUM COST OF SAID RENOVATION AND REHABILITATION TOGETHER WITH CERTAIN COSTS PRELIMINARY AND INCIDENTAL THERETO IS $3,175,000.00, APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT THEREFOR AND AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF UP TO $3,175,000.00 SERIAL BONDS OF THE DISTRICT TO FINANCE SAID APPROPRIATION.;
2. The resolution, among other things, authorized the McKownville Fire District, Town of Colonie, New York (the “Fire District”) to undertake the renovation of the existing Fire Station 1 located at 1250 Western Avenue, Town of Guilderland, New York (the “Existing Station”) with all actions in connection with such renovation being collectively referred to as the “Improvements”).
3. The resolution recited that the estimated maximum cost of the Improvements, including preliminary costs and costs incidental thereto and the financing thereof, was $3,175,000 and said amount was appropriated therefor in the resolution. To finance said appropriation, the District was authorized to issue serial bonds of the Fire District, in one or more series, in the principal amount of up to $3,175,000 pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of the Local Finance Law, constituting Chapter 33-A of the Consolidated Laws of the State of New York (the “Law”).
4. The period of probable usefulness of the specific objects or purposes for which the bonds authorized by the resolution are authorized to be issued is twenty five (25) years, within the limitation of paragraph (a)(1) of subdivision 12 of Section 11.00(a) of the Law.
The resolution summarized hereby is available for public inspection during normal business hours at the Fire District’s office located at 1250 Western Avenue, Albany, New York 12203.
