GUILDERLAND — Bernard and JoAnne Fitzgerald of Guilderland proudly announce the engagement of their youngest daughter, Rebecca Anne Fitzgerald, to Joseph Mark Leathersich, son of Mark and Pam Leathersich of Rochester, New York.

The couple met at their alma mater, the State University of New York College at Geneseo. The bride-to-be holds a bachelor’s degree in communication. She is currently earning her master’s degree in library and information science from Syracuse University, while also working as a library teaching assistant for the Greece Central School District.  

The future groom holds a bachelor’s degree in economics. He is currently employed as a reporter at The Batavia Daily News.

The couple plans to wed at The Wadsworth Homestead in Geneseo, New York in September 2017.
