BETHLEHEM — A Delmar resident was charged with two felonies after Bethlehem Police responded to a larceny in progress at the Glenmont Walmart on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 18.

The suspect had fled the store in a 2012 Dodge Journey before police arrived but an Albany County Sheriff’s deputy located the Dodge crossover SUV in Ravena, and found the stolen goods.

Bethlehem officers then recovered the Walmart merchandise as well as merchandise from Market 32 in Albany, according to a release from the department.

Erin E. Sokolowski, 47, of Delmar, was charged with two felonies: fourth-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

Sokolowski was arraigned by Bethlehem Town Justice Erin Lynch and released under the supervision of the Albany County Probation Department. A return date was set for Oct. 21 at 4 p.m.
