Howl-O-Ween fun: Kai Reynolds from Voorheesville is dressed as Little Red Riding Hood while her dog, Nora, is doubly costumed as a wolf disguised as her grandmother.

Dogs accompanied 4-H members from Albany and Rensselaer counties on Saturday, Oct. 21, for an afternoon of fun Howl-O-Ween activities at the Albany Obedience Club including a costume contest, a spooky obstacle course to run, tricks to show off, and lots of good food to eat — for both the human and canine guests.

Kai Reynolds, who came as Little Red Riding Hood while her dog was costumed as a wolf disguised as her grandmother, is a member of the newly formed Albany County 4-H dog club, the Super Dawgs Canine Club.

The club currently has eight members and is looking to expand and involve more youth in a variety of dog-related activities. It is open to youth 8 and older. For more information, contact Ashley Pierce, agriculture educator with Cornell Cooperative Extension, at or at (518)765-3500.
