State awards $1M to help homeless AIDS patients

ALBANY COUNTY — The Corporation for AIDS Research, Education, and Services, Albany County has been awarded $151,456 to support 10 single units and 14 family units in locations throughout the county, including case management, staff development, client events, and office supplies.

It is one of seven organizations to receive awards totaling $982,000 for the Operational and Support for AIDS Housing program. The funds will be used to provide services and support for projects funded through the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance’s Homeless Housing and Assistance Program that house homeless and formerly homeless individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS.
