Crosier’s dedication has made our community a better place

To the Editor:

I am prompted to write because we are living in a disturbing time in politics where misinformation and slander have become commonplace. It has infiltrated into local politics and even the most ethical, and well-meaning, public servants have not escaped the effect.

I am writing in support of Kevin Crosier, who is running for re-election for Berne town supervisor on Nov. 7.

As town supervisor between 2002 and 2010 and again from 2012 through the present, Kevin Crosier has:

— Lowered property taxes for the past five years with a 3-percent tax cut in 2017 and a 4-percent tax cut in 2018;

— Been responsible for a $2.2 million town budget which he has consistently balanced;

— Secured more than $3 million in grants for the town of Berne;

— Established the Senior Meals and Senior Transportation programs;

— Established the new Berne Public Library;

— Initiated, and seen through completion, the hamlet sewer project;

— Helped open the Albany County Access and the Office for Human Resources; and

— Worked to bring high-speed wireless internet to Berne by 2018.

Kevin Crosier has worked tirelessly, available at Town Hall five days a week. This is not a second job for Kevin. His dedication has made our community a better place.  Please support Kevin Crosier on Nov. 7.
