Help the library while enjoying lasagna and cake

To the Editor:

It’s Fall! So, it is time for the annual Lasagna Dinner and Cakewalk at the Berne Community and Senior Center at 1360 Helderberg Trail on Saturday, Nov. 3. There is one seating at 5:30 p.m.

The volunteer gourmet chefs of the Friends of the Berne Library will be serving a variety of homemade lasagna (meat, vegetarian, gluten-free), salad, bread, and beverages. Make-your-own sundaes, courtesy of Stewart’s Shops, will top off your meal.

All proceeds will benefit the Berne Public Library.

Tickets for this fun, delicious dinner are on sale now at the Berne Public Library: adults, $10 and children 12 and under $8, with a $50 maximum for a family of two adults and children under 18. Tickets will be sold at the door for $12 per adult.

A special feature of this dinner is the Cakewalk. Tickets for drawings to win made-from-scratch cakes will be available for sale, 10 tickets for $10. Call the library at 518-872-1246 for more information.

Proceeds from the dinner and cakewalk will be used for the renovation or replacement of the present garage to be used as a storage shed.

Hope to see you Nov. 3. Bon appétit!
