De Oliveira among the best of Berne’s town clerks over the years
To the Editor:
As many of you know, I am a lifetime registered Democrat. I cast my first vote for JFK and have attended almost every Berne Town Board meeting since that time. Over the years, I have had ample opportunity to know, observe, and evaluate many of our town clerks.
I rate Kristin Francis De Oliveira, our current Berne town clerk, as one of the best.
Kristin is a lifetime Berne resident and a Berne-Knox-Westerlo graduate. She is an intelligent and capable individual with a thorough understanding of the needs of our community. She consistently strives to do her best for all Berne residents and goes out of her way to properly fulfill the requirements of her position.
I recently attended her “Meet the Candidate Event” at her home. There I learned that her grandfather is Pastor Jay Francis. I also got to meet her parents, husband, and two beautiful young daughters as well as numerous supporters. What I learned at the event further convinced me to publicly endorse Kristin De Oliveira to retain her position as Berne town clerk.
I believe Kristin’s job experience, ability, personal integrity, and longtime knowledge and understanding of the community and state regulations and requirements make her the most qualified candidate for the position of Berne town clerk.
I am pleased to endorse Kristin Francis De Oliveira for the position of town clerk. No matter what your party affiliation, I urge all Berne voters to give favorable consideration to casting your vote for Kristin Francis De Oliveira in the upcoming Berne Election.
