Legal Notice of Public Hearing on the Budget 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Proposed Budget of the Fort Hunter Fire Distict of the Town of Guilderland, State of New York, will be presented to the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Fort Hunter Fire Distict, for its consideration. 

A PUBLIC HEARING will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Fort Hunter Fire Station, 3525 Carman Road, Schenectady, New York 12303, in the Town of Guilderland, State of New York on the 20th day of October 2020. 

Pursuant to Town Law S105, the Board of Fire Commissioners must hold a public hearing on the budget, make the proposed budget available to the public prior to the public hearing, allow the public to comment on the budget at the public hearing. This public hearing must be held to allow maximum public participation in the hearing. 

The purpose of the public hearing is to allow any person to be heard in favor of or against the proposed budget as it is submitted, or for or against any item or items contained in the proposed budget, and hearing all persons interested in the subject concerning same. 

That a copy of the proposed budget is available at the Office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Guilderland at Western Turnpike, Guilderland NY 12084 and Fire District Secretary at 3525 Carman Road, Schenectady, New York 12303, where it may be inspected by any interested person during office hours 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Preliminary Budget of the Town of Westerlo, for the fiscal year beginning Jan. 1, 2021 has been completed and filed in the office of the Town Clerk in said Town, where it is available for inspection by any person during normal business hours and available on the town website.

PLEASE TAKE FURTER NOTICE that the Town of Westerlo Town Board will hold three (3) Public Hearings on the 2021 Preliminary Budget for the Town of Westerlo and the 2021 Town of Westerlo Volunteer Fire Co. Budget as well as proposed Local Law No. 4 to override the tax levy limit established in General Municipal Law § 3-c on Wed., November 4, 2020 at 7:00 PM at the Richard Rapp Municipal Bldg. located at 933 County Route 401, in said town and any person may be heard for or against any item therein contained. The meeting is open to public attendance in accordance with CDC guidelines, Zoom information can be found on the Town of Westerlo website: townofwesterlony.com. 

Pursuant to Section 108 of the Town Law, the proposed salaries of the following Town Officers are hereby specified as follows:  Supervisor $ 15,000, Councilman (each) $3,625, Town Clerk/Tax Collector $44,850, Supt. of Highways $60,030, Town Justice (each) $11,000.

  A Special Town Board meeting will follow the Public Hearings for the purposes of: 

To vote to adopt a resolution to override the tax cap.

To vote upon separate resolutions to adopt the 2021 Town of Westerlo Vol. Fire Co. Budget and the 2021 Town of Westerlo Budget.
