Tonko has a proven record of championing the needs of his district

To the Editor:

On Nov. 3, you have a choice: Vote for Paul Tonko, the pro-environment, pro-affordable-health-care, pro-science, pro-civil-rights and pro-Constitution candidate; or vote for his opponent, Liz Joy, who is simply another Trump sycophant.

His opponent has zero public-service experience, is silent on the environment, and believes in dismantling the Affordable Care Act and instead strengthening the for-profit health-care industry, which would lead to even less affordable and less accessible health care for the average American.

Paul Tonko on the other hand is a hard-working representative with a proven record of championing the needs of his district. He is highly accessible to the people of his district, and he cares deeply for the future of our state and our country, and in keeping the American Dream attainable.

He fights for our health care, our environment, and our civil liberties — not just for the privileged few, but for all of us. You would be hard pressed to find a better person to represent you than Paul Tonko!
