NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Proposed Budget of the Knox Fire District of the Town of Knox, State of New York, will be presented to the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Knox Fire District, for its consideration.
A PUBLIC HEARING will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Knox Fire Station, 2198 Berne Altamont Road, Knox, New York 12107, in the Town of Knox, State of New York on the 17th day of October, 2023.
Pursuant to Town Law §105, the Board of Fire Commissioners must hold a public hearing on the budget, make the proposed budget available to the public prior to the public hearing, allow the public to comment on the budget at the public hearing. This public hearing must be held to allow maximum public participation in the hearing.
The purpose of the public hearing is to allow any person to be heard in favor of or against the proposed budget as it is submitted, or for or against any item or items contained in the proposed budget, and hearing all persons interested in the subject concerning same.
That a copy of the proposed budget is available at the Office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Knox, New York at 2192 Berne Altamont Road, Town of Knox, New York 12107 and Fire District Secretary at 2198 Berne Altamont Road, Town of Knox, New York 12107 where it may be inspected by any interested person during regular office hours.

Take notice, the Town of Westerlo Town Board has initiated Local Law # 1 of 2012 (Unsafe Buildings, Collapsed Structures and Burned-Out Buildings Law) due to an unsafe building within the Westerlo Hamlet, located at 578 SR 143, SBL # 139.9-2-16. The Town Board has scheduled a Public Hearing for the purpose of hearing public comment regarding the proposed demolition of this unsafe structure. The Public Hearing and meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 6 pm at the Richard Rapp Municipal Building (Town Hall) 933 County Route 401, Westerlo, NY.

Municipal Water System Evaluation and Preliminary Engineering Report

Please note that Water District #1 located in the hamlet of Rensselaerville, seeks proposals from qualified engineering firms to perform a comprehensive evaluation of the municipal drinking water system and deliver a preliminary engineering report (PER). The evaluation and PER provided by the awarded firm will be used to develop a construction project based on the recommendations in the PER. The PER will be used by the Water District and the Town of Rensselaerville to position itself to apply for listing on the NYS EFC Drinking Water Intended Use Plan as well as with other agencies funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
