Notice is Hereby given that the Proposed Budget of the Berne Fire District of the  Towns of Berne and Knox, State of New York, will be presented to the Board of  Fire Commissioners of the Berne Fire District, for its consideration. 
A Public Hearing will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Berne Fire House, 30 Canaday Hill  Road, Berne, New York 12023, in the Town of Berne, State of New York on the  20th day of October, 2021. 
Pursuant to Town Law 181[3][a], the Board of Fire Commissioners must hold a  public hearing on the budget, make the proposed budget available to the public  prior to the public hearing, and allow the public to comment on the budget at the  public hearing. SECTION 001116 - INVITATION TO BID  
VILLAGE OF VOORHEESVILLE  
MAIN STREET SEWER PROJECT  
Sealed Bids will be received at the office of Village of Voorheesville, 29 Voorheesville Avenue, Voorheesville, NY  12186, until 2 pm local time on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, and then at said office publicly opened and read  aloud for: Village of Voorheesville Main Street Sewer Project.  
Work shall include, but is not limited to, installation of approximately 2,700 feet of 3 and 4-inch HDPE low pressure  sanitary sewer by directional drill on Voorheesville Avenue and Main Street (County Routes 306 and 201). The  work includes installation of sewer laterals to 56 properties within the project area and installation of an effluent  pump station.  
The Project shall be substantially completed on or before November 15, 2022, and completed and ready for final  payment on December 15, 2022. The project schedule shall have work completed in no more than 12 weeks from  the notice to proceed.  
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids will be received on an itemized unit price basis.  Bids should not include sales and compensating use taxes on materials incorporated into the work.  
Bids actually received by mail or by hand after the appointed time on the date specified shall be rejected,  notwithstanding that such Bid may have been placed in a mail box or other mail receptacle regularly maintained by  the United States Postal Service before such time, and ordinarily in sufficient time to have been delivered on time.  
Bid security in the amount of 5% of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to  Bidders.  
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount equal  to 100% of the contract price.

Documents may also be examined at Eastern Contractors Association,  Inc., 6 Airline Dr., Albany, NY 12205, tel. Prospective General Contractor Bidders will be given an electronic copy of the bid  documents by email or CD free of charge. There will be no Pre-Bid Conference.  
Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President’s Executive Orders No. 11246 and No. 11375,  which pertain to nondiscrimination in employment. The requirements for Bidders and Contractors under these  orders are explained in the Bidding and Contract Documents.  
The successful Bidder will be required to comply with the NYSEFC MWBE utilization goals of 23% and all other  NYSEFC requirements for this project that is receiving funding from the NYS Water Infrastructure Improvement  Act Grant program.
