Bethlehem Police say they seized these weapons from Ramona L. Orr: two non-compliant/unregistered AR-15 rifles and four unregistered handguns.

BETHLEHEM — A request made on Tuesday by Child Protective Services to check on the welfare of a child in Selkirk led to the Thursday arrest of a woman on gun charges, according to a release from Bethlehem Police.

Ramona L. Orr, 42, of Selkirk, has been charged with three counts of criminal possession of a weapon and four counts of criminal possession of a firearm — all felonies — as well as endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.

Items that were seized during the investigation included: two non-compliant/unregistered AR-15 rifles, four unregistered handguns, and non-compliant large capacity AR-15 magazines.

Orr was arraigned in Bethlehem Town Court and released on a $5,000 bail bond. A return date has been set for Nov. 8, also in Bethlehem Town Court.
