Eat, laugh, and help veterans

To the Editor:

It’s that magical time of the year — yup, that’s right: It’s time for the Boyd Hilton Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary’s famous Chicken ’N’ Biscuit Dinner.

Save the date: Oct. 6, from  4 till 7 p.m. at the VFW post at 11 Mill Street in Altamont.

Dinner includes chicken and biscuits, mashed potatoes, cranberries, veggies, coffee, tea, and a variety of pies for dessert.

There is a $12-per-person donation. You can eat in or take out.

Get all your yard work done during the day and then bring your family and friends down to the VFW for a great dinner, lots of laughs, and give mom a break from cooking.

Best of all, you will be helping us help our veterans and community.
