See locals portraying Anti-Rent heroes

To the Editor:

As part of the New York State Path Through History Weekend, the Knox Historical Society will be presenting the video presentation of the play “Anti-Rent War Voices Echoing through the Helleberghs: Reflections from Knox family descendants 1830s to 1866.”

This play, written by Paula Shafer, was originally presented on July 31, 2022 for the Town of Knox Bicentennial celebration. Area residents portray early Knox residents who fought injustices during the Anti-Rent Wars.

This video presentation will be in the Knox Town Hall on Sunday, Oct. 13, at 2 p.m. Hope you can join us.
