To the Editor:

I would like to thank the administration of the town of Guilderland as well as the staff at the transfer station for recognizing that “hazardous waste day” had been scheduled by the state on the religious holiday of Rosh Hashanah (note to state: get holiday app!).

The town proactively scheduled an alternate day a week earlier for those observing the holiday. 

This sensitivity and willingness to assist were greatly appreciated. Thank you.
