LEGAL NOTICE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Planning Board of the Town of Rensselaerville will hold a Public Hearing on October 7, 2021 at 7:00 pm at Town Hall, 87 Barger Road, Medusa, NY on a proposed Special Use Permit for Sarah Solomon, 5033 Delaware Turnpike, Rensselaerville, NY 12147 (Tax Map 137.9-3-6). The applicant is proposing to open a General Store.
All those interested in this proposal will be provided with the full opportunity to be heard on the date of the Public Hearing. Persons wishing to appear at such hearing may do so in person or by attorney or other representative. Documents in support of this proposal are available for inspection at the Rensselaerville Town Hall.
Communications in writing in relation thereto may be filed with the Planning Board or at such hearing.

In Connection with the Proposed Local Law of the Village of Altamont Opt-Out of Retail Cannabis Dispensaries and On-Site Cannabis Consumption Facilities within the Village of Altamont and Subject to Permissive Referendum Pursuant to Cannabis Law Section 131 and Municipal Home Rule Law Section 24
Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held by the Village of Altamont Board of Trustees on October 05, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at the Altamont Village Hall, 115 Main Street, Altamont, New York, 12009, to hear all persons interested regarding the proposed Local Law entitled “A Local Law to Allow the Village of Altamont to Opt-Out of the Retail Dispensary License and On-Site Consumption License Provisions of the Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act/New York Cannabis Law”.  The purpose of the proposed Local Law is to request that the Cannabis Control Board prohibit the establishment of cannabis retail dispensary licenses and/or on-site consumption licenses for adult-use cannabis within the jurisdiction of the Village.
A copy of the proposed Local Law is available for review at the offices of the Village Clerk located at 115 Main Street, Altamont, New York, 12009 and on the Village’s website at altamontvillage.org.  All persons desiring to speak either on behalf of, or in opposition to, said proposed Law shall be heard by either attending the public hearing or by submitting written comments in advance of the public hearing to the Village Clerk at PO Box 643, Altamont, NY 12009 or .

PURSUANT TO A RESOLUTION ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 28, 2021, BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF VOORHEESVILLE, THE BOARD IS SEEKING APPROVAL OF TWO AMENDMENTS TO THE LENGTH OF SERVICE AWARD PROGRAM ESTABLISHED FOR ACTIVE VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER MEMBERS OF THE VOORHEESVILLE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT.
THE FIRST AMENDMENT WOULD EXTEND THE MAXIMUM YEARS OF SERVICE CREDIT FOR WHICH A PARTICIPATING ACTIVE VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER MAY EARN A SERVICE AWARD CONTRIBUTION FROM 40 TO 50 YEARS. THE SECOND AMENDMENT WOULD INCREASE THE ANNUAL SERVICE AWARD CONTRIBUTION THAT MAY BE EARNED BY ELIGIBLE ACTIVE VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER MEMBERS, FROM $700 TO $950 FOR SERVICE CREDIT EARNED IN CALENDAR YEAR 2022 AND TO $1,200 FOR SERVICE CREDIT EARNED DURING CALENDAR YEARS 2023 AND BEYOND. 
The voting will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, between the hours of 12:00 noon and 9:00 PM.  The polling place will be the Voorheesville Fire House, located at 12 Altamont Road in said Village.
