Without any drama, Guilderland incumbents have been professional and productive

To the Editor:

I have spent many years observing Guilderland town government in action, but this is the first time in all those years that I feel compelled to stand up and publicly comment on a town board election.

The trio of first-term Supervisor Peter Barber and town board members Pat Slavick and Paul Pastore, has served the town well, maintaining the lowest tax rate in Albany County, enhancing the jewel that is Tawasentha Park with a major upgrade to the pool area, and through its diligent oversight of the town planning board and zoning board of appeals, keeping a steady course on our increased residential and commercial growth.

Ask a Realtor about Guilderland and he or she will tell you that houses for sale are few and far between and that many more people are looking to move into town.

And the new Crossgates hotel, now under construction, is a definite economic plus for Guilderland, luring many more to stay, to shop, and to play in our town.

All this productive work has been done in a calm and professional manner, without any drama or theatrics.

This is how government should work. This is why the Barber-Slavick-Pastore team is going to have my support on November.
