Join us Saturday for the Altamont Fall Festival

To the Editor:

Join us this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the Altamont Fall Festival, a free family-friendly event to celebrate the season in our quaint village.

Drop in Orsini Park anytime to enjoy farm-fresh vegetables, homemade artisan vendors, food and drink, a beer garden, kids’ craft tables, games, and more, including live music by three amazingly talented artists: David Moore 10 a.m. to noon, Yankee Holler 12:30 to 2 p.m., and Jonny Bushick 2:30 to 4 p.m.

Join us in the Masonic Temple for vendors and farm-themed activities all day, our first Apple Baking Contest with winners announced at noon and a bake sale to follow, a brief presentation on the history of Altamont by Keith Lee at 11 a.m., and a Bolognese sauce demonstration by Chef Alex Carusone of Veronica’s Culinary Tavern at 12:30 and 2:30 p.m.

We will announce our Scarecrow Contest winners at 3:30, so don’t forget to cast your vote before 3 p.m.!

Visit Schilling Park for all-day activities, including a pumpkin bounce house, scavenger hunt, story time with the Altamont Free Library, pumpkin-painting, face-painting, temporary tattoos, games for all ages, and vendors.

Attendees are invited to drop off a most-needed food item to our Welcome Booth in Orsini Park, participate in the raffle, and donate desserts to our bake sale to help us support the Altamont Community Food Pantry.
